About the EBAA

The Electric Boat Association of Australia (EBAA, INC9890262) was founded in Sydney in 2008 to promote the development in Electric Boating and to serve the interests of electric boat owners and businesses associated with electric boating (including boat and equipment suppliers and commercial boat operators).

The EBAA is intended to serve the needs of people interested in electric boating. The EBAA provides a platform for promotion of electric boating throughout Australia and for the electric boating community. The EBAA aims to be the voice for electric boat owners’ interests with waterway authorities and governments.

The EBAA is intended to provide personal members with:

  • A forum for exchange of information including help, technical information and advice from other members
  • Details on the ranges of electric boats and equipment available in Australia
  • The opportunity to participate in events, such as rallies or cruises
  • Representation in discussions with navigation authorities on legislation concerning waterways, such as promotingsafe speeds, environmental sustainability, and suitable facilities for operation and charging electric boats

The EBAA is intended to assist business members with:

  • Organising stands at Exhibitions and Boat Shows and distributing trade literature on behalf of all business members
  • Directing enquiries received to relevant business members
  • Opportunity to advertise on the EBAA’s website
  • Representation in discussions with navigation authorities on legislation concerning waterways, such as promoting  safe speeds, environmental sustainability, and suitable facilities for operation and charging electric boats
  • Responses to Government consultation documents on environmental and technical issues related to electric boating

Look for the ‘EBAA member’ logo when you are dealing with suppliers to see if they are a member of the EBAA and thus dedicated to the promotion of high quality and safe electric boating products. Please note the EBAA can under no circumstances be held responsible for products promoted or supplied by, advice given or actions undertaken by any of its business members.
